In the early morning hours of February 8th 2009, neighbors of an exclusive gated community called "Hancock Park" located in Los Angeles heard screams and cries from a woman, and immediately called police. That woman hysterically crying was pop star Rihanna, who had just gotten out of a gruesome fight with her boyfriend. When authorities arrived, they found Robyn Fenty (Rihanna's legal name) battered and bruised, wearing an evening gown covered in blood. They questioned her on the spot learning that her attacker was no other than pop star, and her then boyfriend Chris Brown, took a picture as evidence, than escorted the woman in an ambulance which headed to Cedars-Sinai medical hospital to treat for her severe injuries. Several hours afterward, news of the attack against Rihanna was everywhere. From the internet, and TV outlets, to different print mediums; everyone was weighing in on the Chris Brown/Rihanna fiasco.
After learning of the fight society outcasted Chris, and his campaign ads for "Got Milk" and "Wrigley's Doublemint Gum" were suspended, and radio stations stop playing his music. It seems everybody hated Chris, and soon they would be bewildered by the reunion of the two; after Rihanna returned to her abuser. This threw everyone for a loop all over, but the diva soon came to her senses and left her man again for good (so we all think). Since then Brown's career seemed to have taken a major nose dive to rock bottom. He was prosecuted and ordered to perform community services, 5 years of probation, and he has to stay 100 yards from his ex-girlfriend/10 yards at public (professional) affairs.
Since then Brown has been making desperate attempts to revamp his tarnished career. From being interviewed on Larry King, to promoting his new album "Graffiti" which will be out next month, to twittering about his thoughts and house parties after performing his daily community service. Brown seems to think that he can become the boy next door all over again like he once was. He even announced a small club tour to promote his new LP which as of yet seems to be doing horribly. Only 1 show out of the 15 or so he is doing has sold out, and the tour has no buzz what so ever. The tour being a flop is probably not at all what his PR team had in mind. Rihanna on the other hand has been quite mum on the situation up until recently when promotion for her new album "Rated R" came to surface. Not too long after came and interview with Diane Sawyer where Rihanna vividly described the events that happened the night she got beat up, why she went back, and whats new that will come from her in the future. Rihanna has since then released a new song entitled "Russian Roulette", with a controversial video to back it up. She appears to be drowning while getting shot at the same time. It seems the fight that Rihanna had with Chris hurt her physically, but helped her career! In the months to come Rihanna will take the music world by storm, and anytime an artist releases an album; EXPECT A TOUR TO FOLLOW!!!
